The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade.com opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is solid.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform run a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.
